We make it possible for martial artists to study authentic Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Our program empowers you with opportunity to advance in rank, become a certified instructor, and offer membership in the WBJJA to your students. Achieving your Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt and becoming certified as a BJJ instructor is a reality through us.

We maintain standardized curriculum and processes

Our Brazilian Black Belt board oversees all information development to ensure continued accuracy of media dispensed to members. By their directive, each member is to receive segment specific courseware in written or e‐document and video media form to enhance their human understanding and retention process. Instructor trainee materials provide complete knowledge of the belt level studied and covers all stripe levels there within. Student materials for each belt level are divided into five segments and designed as reference media to support their instructor’s teachings per stripe level. In doing this both our instructor trainees and their students will have access to the most comprehensive Brazilian Jiu‐Jitsu learning program available.

Testimonials

In 2003, I started Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as a means to help ellivate another sport . As a big guy, I needed quicker movements through shorter distances. After the first month, I was hooked. My feeling on the activities soon flipped. I went from 305lbs to 250lbs and my workouts went from powerlifting to anaerobic conditioning. It was a real change.

I plateued in 2008, and a few monthes ago (March of 2009) was about to quit BJJ when I ran across the WBJJA. My friend Jim Blunk, the owner of A Plus Martial Arts in Woodstock GA, and I investigated several other afiliations and concluded that the WBJJA was not only the best way, but the only way to create an environment that allowed us to grow and learn everday as well as keeping our students interested. We signed up and became an affiliate school.

The key ingredient was a set curriculumn. No other group had a specific number of techniques to learn per rank. No more going to class and learning something that was a great technique, but randomonly picked for that day and not having a larger context to apply it too.

I was still a little skeptical, so I went to Sarasota FL to attend the instructor seminar and waited for the penny to drop. Was the WBJJA for real. I wondered on the drive down from Georgia if their was going to be some super secret club or some hidden agenda associated with the program and all they needed was my credit card number, but this was not the case.

The instructor camp was amazing as well as everyone involved in the WBJJA. I have never met a better group of people from the fun loving spirit of the students and instructors to the warm and open sharing of their facilities and hospitality. Top all of that off with three days of serious techincal instruction from Thadeu Viera and Manny Alves, and you have no more doubts.

I urge anyone sitting on the fence to simply make a decision and get involved. You will bring real substance and insight to your school and make a real change in your life.

I know that I can speak for everyone and say that we had a fantastic time training with you and your students. Everyone was a pleasure to work with and was very helpful. I'm extremely impressed with the depth of your knowledge and even more importantly your willingness to share your experience. Something our Grandmaster in Japan told me, rings true with you and your organization, 'to only train with those that have a pure heart'. Its very important for me as an Instructor to constantly push myself outside of my comfort zone and to strive to always improve in my study of the martial arts. Have you had an opportunity to try any of our 'Cincinnati' food? I know that its not as good as the Brazilian meal (feijoada) that you prepared for us. We will continue to study with diligence and look forward to coming down and seeing you again.

What I have seen of the DVD is excellent. It is far beyond what I was expecting and far more advanced than the other BJJ schools I have experienced in Australia.
Nigel May, Australia

The DVDs are very good. I have trained before in most of the techniques. There are slight differences in what I have trained in and in your techniques. You seem to grip the sleeves more for leverage and control, where I have more locking or trapping the arm before performing a reversal or a transition or a submission. Just small stuff that I can easily adjust. I actually think your way is better. Especially arm bar from the guard. Instead of monkey gripping cross arm and cross facing etc.. it seems like I have more control by grabbing the sleeve across my centerline and collar grab palm up (like your DVD), and your way seems easier to teach. Anyway thanks again for a great training tool. My goal is to start BJJ training at my school come September teaching the WBJJA way! Hope to meet you soon.
