I'd like to announce that my student Ricardo Teixeira took first place on the Brazilian Nationals Novice
Championship this weekend in the 17 year old, super heavy weight division. "TX" overcame easily athletes from Gracie Barra
and Brazilian Top Team scoring DOZENS of points and submitting 2 or his 3 matches. I am sure Ricardo will be a great Blue
Belt next year!
John Farrar Jr. took second place at the Joslins Canadian Open this past weekend in the 15 - 17 years
old, 150 to 220 lb division. John performed great throws and total control of the opponents.
